A9N Schneider Circuit Breaker Details

A distribution system works only if the interruption occurs correctly in both time and location. Any interruption that is made using circuit protection devices that are oversized will always incur more shutdown time than if the fault occurred directly. The Schneider A9N low voltage circuit breaker provides the ability to quickly isolate a fault and allow for a highly reliable operation within typical daily operating conditions by providing users with the ability to protect their equipment from both electrical and mechanical faults by providing a very compact design option due to its high thermal and voltage parameters. Perfect Automation & Innovation supplies A9N breakers that provide the necessary protection for all control panels and/or distribution boards that contain mixed loads and are performing continuous duty.

When designing breakers and their protection devices, designers must base their "tripping characteristics" and "breaking capacity" upon the actual fault levels for the specific circuit they will be installed into (not just the rated load). Designing with compact backboxes also assists in making a more workable layout of the overall electrical panel as it pertains to providing adequate heat removal and wire accessibility from behind the panel. All Schneider A9N circuit breakers contain an efficient, high electrical life contact configuration to facilitate rapid cycling or switching in any operational environment.

The circuit breakers have clear indications (ON, OFF and TRIP) that allow maintenance staff to identify potential failure conditions without further testing. The terminals are designed to ensure secure termination of cables, which reduces the likelihood of connections becoming loose, potentially causing overheating. All models have the ability to connect with auxiliary contacts and shunt trip modules providing the ability to integrate into control circuitry and provide remote monitoring when required.

Each model has been tested for both mechanical integrity and insulation performance prior to supply.

Circuit breakers are widely used for both industrial control panels to commercial distribution boards through to utility feeder systems and electrical automation panels providing reliable short-circuit and overload protection thereby assisting safe and uninterrupted distribution of electrical energy.
