The initial step of temperature loss in a cold storage facility isn’t due to the refrigeration unit, but is attributed to problems with unstable motor control, delay in switching over to the alternate electric supply, or the feeder tripping at peak loads. At Perfect Automation & Innovation, we produce Cold Chain MCC Panels that will keep your compressors, evaporators, condenser fans, and circulation pumps operating in a disciplined electrical sequence even during extended running periods (i.e., continuous running). These panels are manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility located in Ahmedabad and have been deployed in some of the most demanding cold-storage facilities throughout the U.S. and are designed for uninterrupted cooling operations.
Feeder design is based on the actual refrigeration load patterns. Coordination between multiple motor starters, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) feeders for capacity control, and soft starters for the high-inertia compressors has been done so the voltage dip at the time of operation will not negatively affect other electric devices connected to the same electrical supply. Control wiring is also segregated within the feeder to provide a stable signal in low-temperature and/or high-humidity environments, which is commonly accompanied by disturbances on the signal.
Our designs clearly define where major motor terminations will occur via specific cable routing for both efficient access during service and for minimal downtime as a result of outages within the cold chain - the equipment may lose inventory due exclusively to their shut down. Additionally, our design using intelligent metering technologies, interlocks, and auto-sequencing for energy management will provide energy savings and simplify standby equipment rotation procedures.
Once assembled, each panel undergoes functional simulation prior to leaving our facility, providing consistent motor control, reliable cooling, and electrical reliability that ensures all materials remain protected 24 x 7.
