When viewed from the outside, the steam generation appears to be steady; however, on the inside of the system, there are constantly changing levels and pressures, and fuel must be responsive to the load changes without delay or missing a beat. Our Boiler Control Panels are developed to provide this balance of operation in real-time.
The control scheme for the panels will be developed by correlating the burner sequencing, feed water controlling, draft system operation, and safety interlocks; and they will not be based on a standard template.
The panels will execute automatic start-stop routines, respond to flame failure, control the drum level, and provide trip logic that can be relied upon by operators for continuous firing. Unfortunately, field instruments do not always produce a good signal so input conditioning and alarm filtering will be arranged to eliminate false shutdowns. Manual mode will stay available to users with well-established changeover logic so that maintenance teams will have local control when servicing the equipment.
Heat regulation and clean separation are essential factors to consider when designing the internal build of a boiler room(s) and determining component selection as well as ventilation routes. High-temperature zones in and around the boiler room should also be taken into consideration.
Each connection point or terminal in the boiler control panel is identified with a unique identification number assigned to it for fast recovery in the event of unexpected failures.
Before shipment, the sequence of events, mechanical and electrical interlocks, and fail-safe mechanisms are tested to ensure they meet specification. A fully developed HMI and SCADA system has been implemented to allow operators access to visual and audible alarms, and to provide a means of communication to/with plant-wide management systems (SCADA).
