Schneider Acb Details

The failure of a power system at a large facility is not due to the small size of the breakers; rather, it is due to the inability to handle the current at fault levels. The Schneider ACB plays a key role in overcoming that issue. Schneider ACB panels are manufactured and used for heavy-duty electrical power distribution where the load is high and the ability to interrupt currents must be designed for reliability.

Schneider ACB assemblies can be used at main incoming sections, synchronizing generators, and high current power distribution centers. Each ACB is integrated with proper bus bar design, mechanical interlocks, protective relays, and metering systems. During the engineering phase, breaking capacity, short circuit withstand, and selectivity settings will be validated/confirmed. No coordination will be left up to the site.

The installation of ACBs requires correct compartment spacing and ventilation (heat dissipation, and cable entry planning) during manufacture. We use strict wiring disciplines to help make testing and maintenance simpler for plant personnel.
