Push buttons and operator control panels come into focus when an operator is starting a machine or when the machine has to be stopped suddenly. These push buttons and operator control panels should be regarded as interface points for the operator rather than just as accessories placed on a panel. Selection of push button and operator control panel will begin at the application and be dependent upon the application requirements for example, A start-stop push button located next to a motor will require a different enclosure and contact configuration than a multi button operator control panel for a conveyor or processing machine. The type of contact rating, mechanical life expected, and method used for IP protection must all be checked based on the installation environment which can be indoor, outdoor or food processing( washdown).
We supply flush-mounted and surface-mounted electrical push buttons and switches that provide momentary or maintained contacts, emergency stop units with twist release, and selector switches to provide auto/manual control. We also offer illuminated operators to provide status indication. Colour coding of operators is based on the operating logic, so maintenance personnel can determine the function of a particular operator without referring to the drawings when there is an operational failure. Legends for push buttons will be engraved based on the actual order of operation and not just labelled generically.
The control wiring has been ferruled and folded back for easy access when replacement is necessary. The wiring entrance position has been designed so that the termination of the field cable remains secure to the end of the control by means of a looped and furruled wire. Before leaving the factory, each unit is tested for contact continuity and mechanical operation.
When connected to US automation and power control panels, pushbuttons and control stations provide clear operator control, reliable feedback to PLCs/relay logic, and safe manual intervention in periods of maintenance or emergency.
