Compact Sub Station

Power infrastructure planning can be complicated when there is limited space. For example, constructing large-sized electrical rooms is not feasible in most commercial buildings because the designs and layouts for industrial buildings are often very restrictive. The Compact Sub Station has been designed to solve this space constraint. By combining a transformer, HT Switchgear and LT Distribution into one cohesive unit, we are able to provide solutions for USA projects where sufficient space is a requirement for reliable power conversion.

The design of the Compact Sub Station integrates the HT incoming section, transformer chamber, and LT panel into one enclosure. Additionally, the selection of components is performed based on the transformer rating, fault level, and the connected load study. All components (VCB / HT Panels, Protection Relays, LT Panels, BusBar System) are located within one enclosure with appropriate segregation and ventilation to allow access to perform maintenance.

The enclosure is designed for outdoor or indoor applications based upon the requirements of the project. The earthing system and coordination of protection devices have been thoroughly investigated in order to address overload and short-circuit conditions. Prior to shipment, we inspect mechanical assembly, wiring integrity, and protection device configuration.
