Industrial Power Control Center Panel Details

Power is constantly changing in any operating facility. Load shifts, feeder additions and changing fault levels occur with almost every upgrade of a facility. The Industrial Power Control Centre Panels have been designed with this long-term, ongoing movement of power in mind. From this perspective, the panel is not simply a static distribution board; it is the central location of the electrical supply to the facility with the appropriate coordination of all incoming supplies and outgoing feeders, protection logic and metering.

We manufacture these PCC panels for facilities that have many high-capacity loads that operate in conjunction and whose isolation during an event must remain selective. The selection of breakers is based on the results of an actual system study and not only based on the frame size. The rating of the busbars considers the temperature rise in the enclosure and the arrangement of the feeders. The cable alley is designed to accommodate all real termination work, including the bending radius of large power cables.

The power distribution network has been designed with an easy to read metering system for the purpose of quick inspection by the maintenance/capacity measurement team without having to go into many compartments. Wherever there are parallel sources or critical feeders, there is interlocking installed in the design to ensure that all circuitry operates properly before entering them into service.

The following are routine checks performed for all Industrial Power Control Centre Panels:
1. check the operation of the breakers;
2. verify the operation of the protection relays;
3. measure busbar insulating resistance; and
4.simulate the function of incoming and outgoing feeders.
