In most cases before a servo system totally fails it will exhibit signs of wear out or erratic operation. Therefore the Schneider servo cable VW3M8102R50 has been designed with this in mind by ensuring that the delivery of stable power and the transmission of clean feedback will support continuous motion control. The cable is constructed to provide controlled impedance and adequate shielding to ensure that encoder signals remain accurate when routing close to other sources of electrical noise such as power lines or switching devices. Flexible conductors allow for smooth motion patterns during drag chain installations without producing core breakage on extended cyclic applications. The outer sheath material was selected to withstand typical industrial abuse from oil, normal wear from vibration, and extreme bending during cyclic periods without becoming hard and brittle.

The connectors provided from the factory have been designed to provide a proper pin configuration as well as reduce site wiring errors. The locking arrangement holds tightly during vibration preventing intermittent communications between the drive and motor.
