Schneider EM6400NG+, Hexa Series, PM2000, EM1000, EM1200 Series Details

Energy meters provide true data once there is a change in the load pattern through shift changes and when there is a need to explain the utility bill. We will utilize Schneider EM6400NG+, Hexa series, PM2000, EM1000, and EM1200 meters by first determining what the user desires to monitor. Some panels will only require basic parameters such as voltage, current and kWh. However, when there are larger PCC and MCC panels the customer will request; demand logging, power factor trending, harmonic levels or SCADA communication.

Meter selection will be based on the CT ratio of the system, system voltage and accuracy class. Once determined the wiring will be configured so replacements and testing can be accomplished without disturbing the adjacent phasing. In the case of drawout feeders, we will furnish test terminal blocks for isolation of the meter safely. The RS485 or Ethernet communication ports will be configured to the automation network to provide a means to transfer data to the PLC panel or energy management system with no dependency on a converter.

The positioning of these meters in the panel door is set for viewable height as operators will look for values while running not while stopped down. The configuration of parameters will be done using the actual system. Check the phase sequence, polarity of the CT, scaling with simulation.

In the US, these Schneider meters provide consistent and repeatable data for load analysis, generator performance monitoring, and energy reporting when used with central monitoring systems.
