Schneider Mccb Details

Not every failure is a major event. Quite often, a small power overload can lead to an eventual breakdown of the supply cable without people even knowing until the heat generated from all of these cables results in the production ceasing to occur and the heater being utilized has burned out! This is when Schneider's MCCB could be invaluable when it comes to electrical power distribution applications. We engineer and manufacture Schneider MCCB's for integration into (1) low voltage feeder panels

Schneider may not randomly select the MCCB that best suits your needs. We look at your load current, the diversity factor and the short circuit rating when selecting the appropriate rated MCCB. The thermal and magnetic trip functions are adjusted to meet the actual application (operating pattern) of your facility. For example, the starting current for an electric motor feeder will be evaluated. For a capacitor bank, the inrush current characteristics would need to be evaluated. Coordination with the upstream air circuit breaker (ACB) or the primary circuit breaker (PCC) would be done during the engineering design phase of your project.

Considerable attentiveness will be given to the interior space of the MCCB panel to ensure proper room for conductors at the termination location. All necessary auxiliary contacts, shunt trip devices, and voltage release devices will be included based on the requirements of the end-user (to facilitate remote operation and/or remote indication of the MCCB).

All Schneider MCCB assemblies are subjected to mechanical and continuity testing before leaving the manufacturing facility. In addition, the mechanical trip function of the MCCB will be verified as well as the integrity of the wiring to the MCCB.

These types of MCCB will be supplied for industrial and commercial projects throughout the United States where predictable isolation and reliable protection from electrical faults is a critical component. If you share with us your load schedule and electrical fault data, we will assist you in selecting the most appropriate Schneider MCCB configuration for your MCCB panel.
