If the protection provided to a motor or an industrial machine is weak, it is very likely to fail quickly. Because of this, Havells manufactures a reliable Contactors & Overload Relays that will handle the stress of operating in real-life situations.
Each contactor and overload relay will have a different size depending on the motor’s actual current draw, how many times it has been started/stopped on a daily basis and the type of duty being performed. They also include adjustable trip settings to match the characteristics of each specific motor. In order to provide a unit that can handle repeated operating cycles without welding or failure, we have tested the mechanical endurance of each unit.
All wiring terminals on these units will be clearly marked and accessible for quick and easy installation in MCCs, motor control centers and distribution panels.
Contactors and overload relays are used in industrial plants, HVAC systems, pumps and conveyors, as well as cold storage applications where unplanned downtime is extremely costly. The overload relays protect against motor failure by preventing the motor from burning up due to phase loss or extended operation at high current levels. The contactors control the frequent on/off operations associated with these applications, while interlocks ensure that all applications can be operated safely.
On-site support includes setting the relay to the actual load of the motor, verifying all wiring associated with its installation and testing the unit’s contacts under actual service conditions. Each unit is designed for heavy-duty use, improves safety during operation, reduces unplanned downtime, and extends the life of the motor. Every unit has been tested, certified and will provide reliable service throughout the US.
