Power outages can occur unexpectedly and a short power outage in a commercial or industrial building can halt operations. Because of that, we manufacture Automatic (or Automated) Switching Electrical (ASE) Panels that can automatically switch from the utility supply to the generator when there’s a loss of utility power, without requiring any manual intervention.
ASE Panels (or Automatic Switching Electrical Panels) are constantly monitoring the mains voltage. If a loss of mains supply or an over voltage condition occurs, the panel will initiate the generator (i.e. trigger the generator start sequence) by sending a start command to the generator and will transfer the load using controlled transfer logic. Once the mains power returns to a stable condition, the load will be transferred back to the mains supply after the appropriate time delay and confirmation that the mains voltage is stable.
Each ASE panel is assembled with the appropriate type of protective device (i.e. MCCB or ACB) for the incoming supply, control wiring for interfacing with the engines, and the necessary indication system. Mechanical and electrical interlocking of the components is verified during the test phase. The functionality of the panel is validated by simulating power failure situations prior to shipping the panel.
The design of the ASE Panels allow for ease of access for maintenance and troubleshooting. There is a clear indication of what each component in the panel does, and proper segregation of the power wiring and control wiring is maintained.
The ASE Panels are supplied for projects throughout the USA and are critical in providing uninterrupted power to institutions such as hospitals, commercial buildings, utilities, and manufacturing facilities. Please email us your generator rating and load information, so that we can provide an ASE Panel configuration that will meet your needs.
